Edna Elisabeth Nyang is the owner of More Than Words LLC and a certified Speech Language Pathologist.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University in 2001 and her Master of Science degree

from the University of South Florida in 2003.

In addition to working in private practice, Ms. Nyang spent many years working in school, home, rehabilitation and hospital settings in Canada, China, and the United States. She provided accent modification, cognitive communication, social skills, feeding, articulation, language therapy, and consultations to clients ranging from newborns to the geriatric population.


In 2016, Ms. Nyang worked as a judge for China’s CCTV English Talent competition at the city level (Beijing) and helped several students prepare their speeches. In addition to providing direct therapy to clients, Ms. Nyang spent several years serving as a clinical educator and mentor to undergraduate and graduate students who are studying speech pathology, helping them fulfill their clinical practicum requirements. She believes that communication and eating are basic human rights and works to improve her clients’ ability to communicate their thoughts and be able to tolerate the least restrictive diet in a safe manner.

Currently, Ms. Nyang maintains a practice of seeing adults and children in Las Vegas. In addition, she is on the interdisciplinary team as an itinerant therapist for the Early Learning Infant (ELF) program in Kotzebue, Alaska. ELF services kids from birth - 3 who live in Kotzebue and villages located in the Northwest Arctic Borough.

Ms. Nyang holds an active speech pathology license in Alaska, Nevada, and California. She is also a member of the American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA). In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her daughter, travel, volunteer, and take cycling classes.
